iphriday–2 sets of roommates

iPhriday is a day to share photos off of your phone.  Join us by creating a post and tagging it iPhriday, or link to one of my posts so I can find you and feature you here at GD&C

Gina and I were roommates in college approximately a hundred years ago.  We were instant friends and have been friends ever since.  We both married within a year of each other, our husbands have become friends, we had our children in the same season, and now our girls are college roommates.  I’m thankful for the blessings that are still pouring from this friendship. Screen Shot 2016-08-12 at 9.35.18 AMHere is a list of my other iPhriday phriends:

iPhriday is a day to feature the photos you’ve collected on your cell phone.  I don’t know about you, but I don’t lug my fancy camera everywhere.  However, I do always have my cell phone and I’m finding that some of my favorite photos are those I have taken with my phone.  Join me on Fridays by creating your own post, then tagging it iPhriday so I can find you and feature you here at GD&C!

My daughter Jenna and her friend Hannah just moved in to their first apartment this week.  They’re both Harry Potter fans, so when I found this almost-life-sized cardboard cutout of Severus Snape on Oriental Trading’s web site, I knew I had to get it for a housewarming present.  I was sad to see him leave my house, but what better spy could I have than Professor Snape? IMG_2853IMG_2849

Meet Sunny. He’s calm, loving, loyal, and he stays close to my friend Teresa. It’s cute to watch how he follows her when she goes about her day.  Teresa is recovering from breast cancer as well as the ugly side effects from the treatments she’s received.  I  was there visiting Teresa and Sunny yesterday, and found myself getting emotional as I watched this little love following my sweet friend around.   IMG_2837-2

My daughter and I are having a Harry Potter movie marathon today, and I just realized that it’s iPhriday!  If you’d like to be featured on the iPhriday blog next week, (providing I remember) just create your own post featuring photos from your cell phone, and tag it iPhriday so I can find you and list you among the other lovely iPhridians.

I’m posting a picture that for years I’ve wanted to take.  Since she was 4, Sarah has slept with her feet sticking out of the end of the covers.  You really can’t see much of the rest of her under the piles of blankets, save her feet.   When she’s moved out and raising her own little punkinheads someday, I will remember the funny way she slept while growing up.IMG_2785 Here are the other folks who have joined me on this iPhriday:

Making use of our phone cameras is a great way to capture the everyday moments in life.  I’ve been trying to be more mindful that I can take pictures even when I don’t have the big fancy camera with me.  Join us in the iPhriday shenanigans by creating your own post with your phone camera shots, and tag it iPhriday.  I will then feature you here with my other iPhriday friends listed below!

My daughter Sarah helped her nieces and nephew  build sand castles while we were on our family vacation.  It was so cute to see how excited they were about their creations.  IMG_2661IMG_2666

While I was taking photos, Mr. GrayDays was taking photos with his phone. My phone was in my pocket and it kept dinging.  I couldn’t figure out who in the world was texting me at 6 am.  It turns out he was sending me pictures of me.  LISASHOOTING
