a cold house!

It was so nice to wake up in a cold house.  Autumn is here, and it makes Lisa happy.

  1. Beautiful picture, Lisa! I was kinda excited about the cold house this morning too! LOVE putting lots of blankets on at night and snoring in the cold air! 🙂

  2. Beautiful photo — the colors just make me smile. And oh how I understand waking to a “cold house.” I always say it’s good sleeping weather when you can open your window and then bury everything except your nose under a down comforter! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by and liking my Morning Aperture poem and photo (for the Boundaries Challenge). I always find it a double whammy to write a poetic piece and find a photo that will both interpret the Daily Challenge 🙂
I read your About — and oh how I understand the leaving of the daughter for college. When we first had our children (some 40 years ago!), someone gave us a framed saying which remained in our bedroom until the day my oldest had her first child — and then we passed it on: “The best thing you can give your children is roots and wings.” I’ve always loved the saying. However, the wings are the toughest part to adjust to, right? There’s a poem on my sight, something like ….And Your Son Shall Leave You…..which includes a true vignette that occurred at our son’s wedding. That’s another big step. Ah….the cycle of life.
Enjoy your blog….and your photography is wonderful.
Do hope you’ll stop by again…….you’ll see in my About section, I’ve got quite a few years on you 🙂
In my rejuvenatement period and just took up poetry writing last February — so not a year yet. Once the pen was put to paper, ah the creative side of the brain was released 🙂 Tis a good life.
Best wishes, and stop by again!
